Transform Your Business with a 3D Configurator
A 3D configurator provides a highly immersive experience, allowing your clients to see exactly how their choices will impact the final product, while creating an instant connection with your company as a preferred supplier.
It’s a game-changer across various industries:
- enhancing customer engagement,
- speeding up alignment between you and your clients, and
- driving sales.
Allow customers to personalise products like furniture, vehicles, electronics, or home and garden related products.
They can select colours, materials, finishes, and other features, creating a unique product tailored to their preferences.
Offer an immersive, real-time visualisation experience that lets customers see exactly how their customised product will look before they make a purchase.
This leads to more informed buying decisions and higher customer satisfaction.
Manufacturers of customisable industrial equipment or machinery can utilise 3D configurators to let clients configure products to their exact specifications, ensuring a perfect fit for their needs.
Use 3D configurators for engaging product demonstrations at trade shows, online platforms, or in virtual reality environments.
Capture the attention of potential customers with dynamic, interactive content.
3D configurators provide highly interactive content, ideal for digital marketing campaigns. Attract and retain customer interest with visually compelling, customisable products.
The ability to visualise products in 3D significantly boosts conversion rates.
Customers feel more confident in their choices, leading to increased sales and reduced return rates.
Using a 3D Configurator
3D configurators add value to any industry where visualisation, customisation, and customer engagement are critical. They elevate the user experience, optimise the sales process, and reduce the time and costs associated with design and manufacturing.
Explore 3D Product Configurators in Action
Discover how 3D configurators can revolutionise your business. Whether you’re looking to enhance product customisation, boost customer engagement, or streamline your sales process, a 3D configurator is your key to success.
Below is an example of a 3D configurator, embedded in a company’s website, as a lead magnet. The viewer is able to configure the complete product and to request a quotation.
This video shows another example of a 3D configurator, this time to personalise a seat with multiple options. Again, this can be used as a lead magnet, as a sales tool and as part of an online ordering platform.
Combining 2D Lay-outing &3D Configuration
This short video shows how users can switch from 2D configuration to 3D configuration and back while logic is applied to ensure products can only be added at the appropriate location. Functionality can be added to also configure the interior of the units shown, allowing for a swift configuration of a complete project (with similar units being copied, and other units receiving a completely different configuration).
3D configuration for Assemblies and Projects
This short video demonstrates the unique capabilities of Merkato to configure multiple related products in a project. Project parameters can be used to steer configuration sof separate products, the configuration of one products may impact the possibilities / constraints of other products, and the configuration of multiple products can impact the project.
These capabilities can even be extended by adding an additional toolbox to use Merkato for the visual configuration of, for example, complete production lines, conveyor assemblies and warehouse racking.
The video below shows the accelerated example of the visual configuration of a large conveyor system, that is then translated into a project structure. In this project structure, the individual elements of the conveyor system can be further detailed (e.g., selection of colours). Subsequently, the full project proposal is configured and a convincing document is generated. This document contains snapshots of the conveyor system, taken from this specific configuration. In the proposal, you can even insert a link to a project video, taking your client on a virtual reality visit of the system that is being offered.
3D Configuration and Virtual Reality (VR)
In this video we show how, by adding VR (virtual reality) to your configurators, buyers can discover an unlimited range of product configurations before they are built.
This provides a realistic feel of scale and reachwhich makes VR-based selling highly effective.
Use VR-features to demonstrate your solutions fasterand at a lower cost than your competition.
Getting Started with a 3D Configurator
To implement a 3D configurator, you’ll need:
- Accurate 3D Models: CAD models of your products, including customisable components, materials, and textures.
- Product Logic: the knowledge about how to build valid configurations (e.g., specific materials only available in certain colours).
CPQ Belgium delivers everything else!
With the Merkato CPQ toolbox, you'll receive:
- A versatile and robust system to manage all product logic.
- A dynamic pricing engine that adjusts prices based on selected configurations.
- A content management system to ensure the correct texts accompany each product.
- Seamless integration with your existing systems (CRM, ERP, PLM, CAD, website).
- Robust hosting solutions.
- Expertise in rendering your models with the perfect options and textures.
- Comprehensive training and support.
